David will release his sophomore album, This Loud Morning, on the 28th of June this year, but will be ready for pre-sale on the 19th of April. He will also be performing his new single "The Last Goodbye" on the Idol stage on April 21. "The Last Goodbye" will be available for download and will be aired on the radio on April 19. Those who pre-order or have pre-ordered "This Loud Morning" at DavidCookOfficial.com will get "The Last Goodbye" for free.

Here's a sneak peek of the lyrics of "The Last Goodbye" posted on David's official site on April 14:
David says, "This album is the culmination of one of the loftiest endeavours I've ever undertaken. The end result is an album that I cannot wait to share with everyone."
It's also David Cook who recorded this year's American Idol farewell song, a remake of the 1985 smash hit of Simple Minds "Don't You (Forget About Me)".
