Adjectives will simply underestimate how AIESEC-UST's ACamp 2012 went, and being a part of it is simply a pleasure and a great honour.
With all the things that happened overnight, I really have no idea where to start, so I'll just say that the ACamp had its way of loosening up the anxious soul me.
I never liked dancing. I never spoke to people who I don't know (they have to talk to me first). And, neither did I feel comfortable in working in a group composed of people I've never met before. But the ACamp turned everything around. I danced, talked to a lot of people, and just had fun! It was like watching a different Andy in the plenary hall. Most of the time, it felt weird, but it felt really good as well!
Like other conferences, the ACamp had sessions that further explained the nature of AIESEC to its new members, but the facilitators sure knew how to present their topics creatively, deducting the bore and adding some enjoyment.
We were also grouped (hi, Group 8!) for the various simulations and activities we had to accomplish, which helped us understand how important teamwork and professionalism are. I loved the Amazing Race-ish team building activity we had, although I screwed up big time in a challenge (again, I'm so sorry, guys!). But hey, everybody learns from their mistakes! Who knows? I might be the most well-versed human being on this planet someday! Haha!
The night was extra-awesome. But I can't spill the beans about it! Sorry!
There are loads of things to say, loads of stories to tell, but I guess no matter how much I try to put my ACamp experience into words, I won't be able to express it fully. You have to experience it yourself to know.
