Before I kick off with the theories I've read and compiled in my head, here's the promo of the newest episode of Chuck - Chuck versus the Last Details - that you can catch on Monday at NBC.
Now that you've seen the trailer (hey, I can hear your heart going thumpa-thumpa-thump!), I'm pretty sure that the first thing that popped in your mind when that bitchy Vivian Volkoff said "I already have." is death. Well, yeah, that popped in my mind too, and that's also what popped in millions of Chuck brains!
Death in season 4 is highly possible. First off, according to Entertainment Weekly, a source told them that the 'terrible event' will take place on the night before Chuck and Sarah's big rehearsal dinner, and it involves 'someone we love'. Then in an email, co-creator Chris Fedak said, "Death is definitely a possibility." He even added Papa Bartowski as an example.
How bad is this? I have no idea. But with the photo of the cast and crew with a few fans, wherein Sarah is wearing a hospital gown instead of a wedding gown, we could tell that Sarah is one of the possible targets of Vivian's plot.
Sarah may be killed (if that's going to happen, then the show's just murdered.), but she may be seriously injured too! She may even be poisoned! She's holding that glass of champaign when Vivian said "I already have." - she must've tipped something in Sarah's drink! Well, anyway, that's just crazy. Chuck and the others won't look and sound too alarmed if it's really poison in that drink. In fact, they won't even know!
But why on earth is Sarah wearing a hospital gown?! That's like one of the biggest questions about Chuck right now. Here are some possibilities:
-She's injured.
-She's dying.
-She's going on a cover.
-She's ill.
-She's poisoned...again, that's crazy!
Some fans even assume that Chuck and Sarah will be exchanging their vows in the hospital! Then there's this comment I read from a visitor on TV Edge:
"I think Sarah could get hurt…and who says she cant die? but she wouldn’t die untill the last episode. My prediction is that chuck and Sarah will finish their vows in the hospital and then the screen will fade out to the sound of beeeeeep (her heart stopping) and chuck screaming out SARAH…
Its probably way off but whatever lol"
It may sound as crazy as it seems, but this prediction is possible too! If you'll ask me, I find it romantic; however, this would be a sad, sad Chuck ending - sadder than A Walk to Remember. Sadder than Titanic. Sadder than The Notebook. But if Sarah and Chuck will exchange their vows in the hospital, what's up with this photo?
This photo is taken by a fan at a church in Pasdena, as the cast and crew of Chuck are filming the season's final episode. And if you'll look closely, you could tell that this church resembles the church in Chuck and Sarah's wedding plan:
Back to the topic...
Ellie could also be the victim. Sarah Lancaster, who plays Ellie Bartowski-Woodcomb, is expecting her first child with her husband attorney Matthew Jacobs. She may be taking her maternity break as the season wraps up.
Casey fans, I can tell you to relax right now. His odds on surviving is pretty high. Casey has had an awful injury this season, and the producers and writers won't do such a thing as killing Casey - at least in this season, 'cos that's like taking the soul, the comedy, the action, and every main ingredient of the show.
Morgan's odds on being the victim is 50/50. He's Chuck's best friend. He's been the victim of sticky situations, which makes him easier to take. He's - let's admit it - not as smart as the others. And there's a line from Chuck 4x23 plot summary that says:
Meanwhile, Morgan Grimes' responsibilities as best man include his most dangerous mission yet, as he faces Vivian Volkoff.
Will Morgan be the hero of this season? That's an uncertainty and a possibility. Let's just cross our fingers (and our toes as well!) that Morgan would be able to save the day, if it's HIM who'll be taken by Vivian, or if it's HIM who'll save the one taken by Vivian.
Captain Awesome surely isn't the victim, since he appeared in the clip right after Chuck shouted in alarm. Mary Bartowski may also not be the victim, 'cos earlier in the episode, she's already taken by Vivian. It also can't be Alex. Yes, she may be Casey's daughter, but she's not a great weight to be worthy of Chuck's shout - er, OK Chuck may shout, but Alex won't cause Awesome's worried-spring-to-action face; however, her loss may lead to a complication between Chuck and Casey's relationship, which is a very heavy deal.
Now... HOW will Vivian take her target?
-She'll appear in the get-together, and point a gun at her target.
-She'll enter the scene with back-up, and cause a commotion to get what she wants.
-She'll poison the target (OK! I'M CRAZY!)
I'm not telling you that the possibilities I listed above will happen, but they might (C'mon! I don't have a sinister brain like Vivian's to come up with millions of evil plots to lead somebody to doom!). And when Vivian says "I already have.", that means she already carried out the deed.
There's one thing we can be assured of though: Chuck won't be Vivian's target of the night.
Though Vivian is Chuck's 'nemesis', she won't let Chuck die just like that, without having fun for a while. She will do what a villain's got to do, and that is: She will make Chuck suffer first before she gets on to kill him. It's the classic torture technique for the protagonist of the story that works most of the time.
As of the moment, we're still looking for answers. But unfortunately, we won't get those answers until we watch Chuck's final 2 episodes. So, just stay tuned and...GIVE A CHUCK!

I could see Mama Bartowski, Volkoff or Awesome dying. Or one of the 'Buy More' gang. If Sarah/Casey get killed, the show is over [unless it's pretty clear that the death may be faked]. It can't be Chuck - at least not permanently - for obvious reasons!
ReplyDeleteLet's just hope the finale turns out good. :)
ReplyDeleteI personally think that it is Sarah who will be injured. I most deffinately do NOT think they would kill Sarah. Actually they CANNOT kill Sarah especially if Chuck is renewed for a season 5, ya know? Chuck without Sarah would be like basketball without a net...very hard to make interesting and fun! I think Sarah will be posioned! And at the end of the trailer is Chuck saying "Honey!" or "Help me!" Can anyone tell?!?(:
ReplyDeleteI actually don't know what Chuck said before Oh my God - sorry!
