Happy New Year!

I honestly don't know how to start this post, so I'll just keep it simple: My new year is BORING. In fact, I dunno if it's turning out right at all! First off, this laptop is bummed, and I dunno what mama and papa would do to me when I come back to the Philippines. Next, my aunt is sick. She's not feeling well for the past two days, and she spent the whole day sulking, which gives us no reason to watch the fireworks at Marina Bay. And finally, I just don't feel like 2011 is ending. I really don't. It's the 31st of December, 11:58 in the evening, and I'm here, TYPING this post you probably just slept on reading. OK, it's 12 AM now.

Happy New Year!

I just jumped (like any other Filipino kid would do), played some Katy Perry on YouTube, and I've gotten kisses from my cuz and my uncle. None from my aunt cos, duh! I'm just so bummed that this year started so off for me. But hope's not lost, cos I've still got 23 hours and 54 minutes to rock this New Year! I'll make it up to myself tomorrow.

Now, now,  hello, 2012! ... Hmm, doesn't the movie just give you the creeps? Anyway, only God knows when the world will really end, so let's just see how this year goes for us! More memories, more laughter, more problems, more what not! Live it up!

My new year's resolution, by the way, is not to have a new year's resolution!

Singapore Days 12 & 13 (29 & 30 December): IKEA & Skypark

We could never get enough of IKEA and their glorious chicken wings, so we went back yesterday. We bought more home stuff, and guess what I got myself? GRUNKA!!! I finally got the Grunka 4-pc. kitchen utensil set and it's Chuck-tastic!

Today, we went to Marina Bay's Skypark. It's something I am definitely not excited to see, but since my cuz and aunt wants to go there, we did. I have to say, $20 is quite pricey if all you could see up there are buildings, trees, and bodies of water. I mean, c'mon! What did we bloody pay for? The surprisingly short elevator ride? And the drinks at the bar! Dayum! $10 for a short glass of cranberry juice? And it's just Ocean Spray! If my kidneys ain't happy, I would probably be more furious than I am right now.

Singapore Days 10 & 11 (27 & 28 December): Supermarket (Fair Price) and Little India + Orchard

After a tiring day at Universal Studios, we decided to rest yesterday, and only went out of the house to go to the supermarket to buy stuff.

Today, we went to Little India. I liked the tiny shop houses, but I didn't buy anything, I just... looked around. We then headed to Orchard to buy more 'pasalubong' for the folks back in the Philippines. I got stuff for mama, papa, mommy, friends, and Roy! Haha! Love that kid! It's super sale at H&M, so SPLURGE!!!!

We also loved the ice cream at Orchard. Ripple - yum!

Singapore Days 7, 8 & 9 (24, 25 & 26): IKEA, Sentosa, Universal Studios

It's been a busy three days that I didn't get a chance to tell you about the places I've been to. I've said enough about my first visit in IKEA in my last post, but if you haven't read it yet, I'll summarise it for ya: The place is great; the food is great!

On the 25th, Christmas Day, we went to the church at Bukit Batok, but since it's closed, we just prayed at the adoration chapel. We headed to Sentosa after that. There's nothing much to do in the place, because it was already getting late and the rain started falling, so we just took some pictures around, and purchased our Universal Studios day pass.

Day 9 - 26 December - we finally visited Universal Studios Singapore. God, I had a blast! We first tried the newly-opened Transformers The Ride (the line took us 2 hours), and it was super cool! We're, like, in a 4-D battle with the Decepticons; Optimus Prime and Bumblebee by our side saving us once in a while. We've been dragged, shot, thrown, and what not! We really had a good time!

Next, we rode Battlestar Galactica- the 'awesomest' of all! It's the tallest dueling coaster in the world - to date. We took the CYCLON, which is a suspended coaster. We were literally swinging! We went up, down, around the loops, and the corkscrew and cobra roll. It was crazy-fast! It's my favourite of all!

We had lunch at the Starbot Cafe after that. I had a chicken wing and some of my cuzzin's vegetarian meal. I wasn't hungry much, and I couldn't fuel up that much, cos the next attraction we got our asses on was Revenge of the Mummy. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two rides. It came so off to me. Maybe it's because of the setting, or the film playing in my head. But whatever it is, I didn't like it much.

The last attraction we saw was Shrek 4-D. It was like Disneyland's Philharmagic, but with more effects and tickles. The spider part really creeped me out! I enjoyed it a lot!

I was really cut up when we were told that we're going home, cos I wanted to see the park at night, and we only entered 4 attractions for crying out loud! But I guess that cliffhanger will keep me coming back.

Oh, and before I leave you, let me just say that Marilyn Monroe said I'm 'gorgeous'. BEAT THAT!
