Remembering 9/11

I was only a little girl of six when the attacks happened, but I was already aware of the news and what was happening that time, and seeing the people on TV - people jumping off from the tower, people bleeding, people crying, people hoping their loved ones are OK, people dying - just pierced me through my heart. It was a very horrifying scene for me and for everybody else. I just couldn't believe such a thing could happen on a very ordinary day.

Today, we reminisce one of the worst accounts in the history of terrorist attacks. Let us offer our love and prayers to the victims of the 9/11 incident. But over that, let's make PEACE.

Last Friday Night...

...I commuted  going to Trinoma for the first time alone riding a jeep. It was raining and it wasn't easy. My Accessorize umbrella even caught the wind! Thinking it would break, I folded it and used the hood of my jacket instead.

...I saw the awesome-st cake decorating set at Gourdo's. Guess why.

...I fell in love with this huge collage of children's books at Fully Booked.

...I bought a new book called My Name Is Memory by Ann Brashares.

...I had a cheeseburger at McDonald's and wrote a new chapter for my untitled novel.

...I met my new cousin, Roy! Isn't he cute?! I even made this collage for him:

Here are more photos (OK, he's cute! I just can't get over him!):

...I spent the date night with my mum and dad. We ate at our usual dining resto - Fish and Co.

...I found this interesting piece at the condo when we got home. Turns out, it's the bottom of a plastic Coke bottle recycled into a case for anything and just everything.

...and finally, I slept!

Emma Watson on Elle France

Emma Watson has always been the perfect cover girl, and this October she'll be gracing the front cover and a few pages of Elle France that will come with an interview about her family life, growing up, cutting her hair for the first time after the Harry Potter films wrapped up, and what's in store for her and her fans.

Here are some more photos in the upcoming issue of Elle France:

Exploring Pottermore...

I'm so lovin' Pottermore right now! I'm so lucky and thankful for being one of the million of the billion fans who were chosen to access the site on an earlier date!

My wand is "acacia with phoenix feather core, twelve and a quarter inches, quite bendy". I was sorted to RAVENCLAW, which is cool cos Ravenclaw students are brainy. I am bad at Potions, and at some point, I even melted my cauldron! The first spell I learned to cast is "Alohomora" an unlocking charm. I easily caught the Golden Snitch, and I easily found Professor Flitwick's flying key. I took time guessing the two potions after the giant chessboard (See? I suck in Potions! Snape's gonna kill me!) I collected a few Galleons along the way, and Chocolate Frog cards too! And so far, I was able to earn 10 points for my house! I can't wait for Book 2!

P.S.
Let's be friends... ADD ME!!! I'm MahoganyHeart48 :)

House of Tender Beasts: Love Goes Pop!

Mixing pop art and love makes the perfect combination. So when I came by the shop of House of Tender Beasts, I instantly fell in love with their cute and creative illustrations. And, for a nature girl like me, I really appreciate that they use eco-friendly materials to make their products. Plus, using song lyrics to make some interesting prints, makes their art even more catchy! Today seems like Valentine's Day in Innocent Wild!

Andz ♥'s Blooms

I've been reading Sarah Addison Allen's book Garden Spells, and it really got me dreaming of flowers everyday. I simply love flowers, and the following are just a few gorgeous blooms that mean to me.

Tulips
By East Coast Photo
Aside from the colourful bracelet and music box papa brought home for me from the Netherlands ages ago, I would never forget the live and cut tulips he took home with him to show me. Another precious tulip moment of mine was when papa and I surprised mama on Mothers Day with a dozen of tulips back in Brighton.

Honeysuckles

By Paula De Giovanni
Honeysuckles have a sweet spot in my heart because the last troop I led in my Girl Scout days was called "Honeysuckle". Now I'm wondering how the Honeysuckle wine in Garden Spells taste like!

Magnolias
By Hazel Berger
I've loved magnolias since I watched Mulan when I was a little girl of three. They remind me of the first film I watched in the cinema.

Sunflowers
By Hazel Berger
My biggest frustration is not being able to grow sunflowers in our garden. Sunflowers make me happy though. A bunch of then will definitely make my day!

Roses
By Leilanika Abalos
Girls love roses - that's a fact. But the reason why I love roses is because it reminds me of Mommy, my grandmother, who as much as possible, brightens up our sitting room with roses every time, and the plump and fragrant English rose I saw near the train station in Brighton.
